Ellen Pompeo, star of Grey’s Anatomy, has just signed a deal that will put nearly $200,000 per episode in her pocket. That’s almost five million dollars per season. ABC’s medical drama has no qualms in paying its actors for the success of the Golden Globe-winning series.

Don’t think Pompeo is alone. Sources said, James T. Pickens Jr., Chandra Wilson, Justin Chambers and T.R. Knight will all be paid about $125,000 per episode. The deal is also said to be retroactive, which means actors will receive back-pay for episodes already released this season. All actors are under long term deals with the studio, lasting approximately seven years.

Isaiah Washington’s contract is still up in the air. The rumor is that Washington will be allowed to stay on without a pay raise. The actor has been the center of controversy over the past few months due to homophobic comments. Katherine Heigi is still working on her deal, but the studio released the following promising statement, “In recognition of her tremendous talent and value to the show, we recently approached Katherine with an offer to raise her compensation significantly above the terms of her current contract.”
