Rap icon Jay-Z has decided to sell his Rocawear clothing company to Iconix Brand Group. Iconix is the owner of other popular fashion brands such as Joe Boxer and Candie’s. THe size of the transaction is reported to be $204 Million in cash.
Jay-Z, also known as Shawn Carter, continues to prove that he has the makings of a successful international businessman. He will continue with the company as the chief creative officer. No word yet on how quickly this story will be written into the lyrics of one of his rap songs.
