Leonardo DiCaprio is going to produce and star in a Warner Bros. film on the financial collapse of Enron. The Warner Bros. Studio made the deal last week for the film, and sources are reporting that it is likely to be based on “Conspiracy of Fools”, a book detailing the Enron debacle written by New York Times reporter Kurt Eichenwald.
Leo, who is up for an Academy Award for his role in “Blood Diamond”, will play a newcomer who exposes the accounting fraud at the Houston-based company. He will also produce the film through his production company, Appian Way.
