NBC Universal TV Studio has called the Spikester in to direct its new drama pilot M.O.N.Y.. The drama revolves around an average “Joe” who rises up to become the mayor of New York. The project, set to film in New York, is an ideal fit for the New York native who has a real grasp on the city’s emotional atmosphere. This position is a result of the developmental deal Spike inked last year with NBC. Lee’s career includes two Oscar nominations, for writing Do the Right Thing and for the documentary 4 Little Girls.
