spiderman-730179.jpgIndustry publication Variety is reporting that Columbia Pictures executives have already begun thinking about a fourth installment of the Spider-Man franchise. Negotiations have begun to get David Keopp to write the script. Keopp authored the script to the 2002 release of Spider-man, and has also penned a draft of the fourth Indiana Jones movie. It is speculated that the movie would be released in 2009 or 2010.

“Spider-Man 3″ will be released nationwide on May 4, starring the usual cast of Tobey Maguire, Kirstin Dunst, and James Franco. Also starring in this installment are Thomas Haden Church as Sandman and Topher Grace as Venom. Laura Ziskin produces with Avi Arad and Grant Curtis.

Don’t fret, he’s going to star in it..although I can’t promise if he’ll still use the whip instead of a cane.
