24 and Heroes Soon to be Bitter Enemies

The battle of the titans begins tonight. No, I’m not referring to Clash of the Titans, although admittedly the movie was a yester-year favorite. Two shows that I love more than life itself - well maybe not more than life but damn near close - are going head-to-head tonight. I’m referring, of course, to none other than Heroes and 24. My heart is torn. What do I watch?

On the one hand we got Jack Bauer. Much like the Gladiator, he rose up to defy an emperor. On the other we have Heroes, a motley group of ordinary people who discovered they have extraordinary abilities. After the AMAZING December Cliffhangers on Heroes the Bag Man is leaning towards watching Heroes, and letting the DVR take care of 24. Yea, 24 has its own cliffhangers, but hey I’ve waited nearly two months, I need my FIX. Then you have the whole REAL TIME thing with 24. I still remember hearing Kiefer Sutherland quote in season 1, “The events happen in real time.” Ok, maybe I’m not watching it 24 hours straight, but there is always the threat that someone may call, text or email me the spoiler. Plus you have to worry about websites, and news commercials. Just like Jack Bauer, you have so many enemies to deflect.

Ok breath. The good news is that even without DVR, Heroes gets replayed online at NBC.com. Bad news is that you will have to wait till 3am EST. The stress alone can cause a heart attack. Plus with iTunes you can always buy your favorite episode online for only $1.99. Not bad. BUT WHAT SHOULD I WATCH, AND WHAT SHOULD I WATCH LATER. Aaarggh. Ok, looks like it’s a game time decision at 9/8C. But if I had to guess, I’d probably say 24. No, no wait. I changed my mind its Heroes, definately Heroes. How about I just let everyone know my decision tomorrow?

24 is a little far fetched. I want to see what happens to Peter.
