entourage.jpgHBO’s mafia drama turned soap opera, The Sopranos, returns on April 8 for its last 9 episodes. This last set was originally supposed to run 8 episodes, but writer David Chase felt he needed an extra installment in order to finish out the series. There’s some serious speculation on how the show will end up.. Will Tony die or go to jail, who in the crew will take over, will the New York/New Jersey war ever happen…will the show redeem itself for a lackluster first half of its sixth season? The jury is still out on all of these questions, but you best-believe people will be back to see how it ends up. I for one vote for Tony finally paying for all his bad deeds. And I’m willing to bet money that between Tony, Uncle Junior, Christopher, Paulie, and Sylvio only 2 will survive the final 9 episodes.

Also returning that same night is HBOs largely successfully series Entourage, which will start a run of 20 shows. I definitely can’t wait for it to return as we were left with the cliffhanger of Ari being fired by Vince and the Ramones project still up in the air.

So be warned… all of you who cancelled HBO after these shows went off the air last summer need to add them back to your cable plan sometime in mid-March.
