Stop the presses. The worst has happened. That’s right fans, the new hit fall show “Heroes” is over for the Holiday Season. What will millions of fans do with Monday evenings? For the sports fanatics with cable there’s always Monday Night Football, but what about everyone else? Oh well now that I’ve vented onto the spoilers.

“Heroes” still remains one of the Bag Mans favorite weeknight shows, and its no wonder why. Kring brings fans twist after twist in his ongoing epic thriller. Niki Sanders, Jessica and D.L. have finally had their long awaited showdown and the winner is - no one. After catching a well placed bullet from Jessica, D.L. and Micah narrowly escape the clutches of Niki’s belligerent alter-ego. Jessica tricks Micah into revealing her estranged lovers’ location only to whip out a hidden handgun. But low and behold, Niki’s personality comes back to the forefront when Jessica attacks Micah. In a shocking turn of events, Niki turns herself in to the authorities, admitting to murder, because she can no longer be trusted around her son.

The villainous Sylar is now trapped in the hands of Mr. Bennett and the Haitian, but for how long? Not long it seems. Mr. Bennett opted to keep Sylar on lockdown instead of killing him, Nora’s brilliant suggestion that went awry. Attempting to use her powers of persuasion on someone with way more experience and power, our beloved Nora ended up shooting herself in the head. Hmmm, that takes the on screen murders to two. First the waitress and now Nora, though we’ve seen countless off screen murders.

Long awaited meetings have finally come to pass:

  • Hiro and Isaac have finally been introduced, and what’s more Isaac can now paint the future without the drugs. Love it.
  • After saving the cheerleader, Peter and and Hayden were finally introduced.
  • The enigmatic Haitian finally spoke
  • Matt’s been introduced to Peter a painful experience for the two, when they simultaneously read each others thoughts.
  • Claire has revealed to her father her powers. What’s he done to return the kindness. Mind wiped everyone she’s closed too. Daddy’s little girl must be protected, AT ALL COSTS.

And what of our hero Peter Petrelli. His dreams are becoming more and more real, and seem to have some symbolic twist on the future. Let’s go through the dreams:

  • When Simone’s father died, Peter dreamed of the two flying together.
  • Peter was warned the night his brother Nathan first flew, abandoning his wife in a car accident.
  • What of the dream Peter had that first lead him to discovering he and his brother possessed powers?
  • And now in a shocking turn of events Peter has envisioned the destruction of New York. Only he’s the bomb. Peter better learn to control his powers fast. At this rate he’ll randomly walk by Ted, our current radioactive killer, and explode. End of story.

Taking powers seem to have taken its toll on Peter. He’s sick, and even sitting next to Claire isn’t helping his flu. We’ve seen negative effects before from these abilities. Like the waitress with the tumor and Sylar’s demonic mental state.

Okay, that’s enough of the spoilers. Drop me a line and let me know your thoughts and ideas on what’s to come. And, I’ll see you Monday night January 22, 2007 for the return of “Heroes.”
