Following up on the Bag Man’s feature on OJ Simpson’s new book “If I Did It, Here’s How it Happened,” it appears that leading booksellers are not shying away from this one. Venerable bookseller, Barnes and Noble, has announced that they will carry the book in print. Borders Group, will also carry the book, however they will donate all proceeds of it to charity. Many independent book stores have openly stated that they will not carry the book and rightfully so. I mean come on.. the guy ’speculates’ on how he would’ve killed his wife - not exactly something worthy of shelf space next to Hawthorne, Emerson, and Thoreau.
Online retailer Amazon.com is accepting preorders and the book is rising quickly on the best seller list there.
I agree with the Bag Man, this fool really needs to shut up and be happy he’s not in jail right now. But for the country to support this guy with their hard earned cash is even more heinous. I mean, only in America, can a celeb dance around the law and then come back and make money off of their “sob” story.
