Sony’s latest system, the PS3, goes on sale Friday at 12am, but that hasn’t stopped happy-go-lucky Ebayers from auctioning off the commodity before hand. Search now on Ebay for “Playstation 3” and you’ll find over two thousand auctions going on. Reportedly only 400,000 systems will be available by the launch date. With a whopping $1700 starting bid, it’s no surprise that most of these auctions don’t have any bids yet. One seller (tylerhatcher) was able to pull over 30 bids claiming to be #1 and #2 on line for the Toys R Us preorder. Too bad the current high bidder is an unknown with no feedback (0), a bad omen for any seasoned “Ebayer.”
Contrary to popular belief, the Bag Man’s going to have to wait for this puppy to come down in price. Why get the first wave of systems anyway? Of late, the only thing you end up with is a factory recall because of an inflammable or defective system. Instead, I’ll be at home playing the Wii.

i’m deciding if I should just ebay my 360 now and get the ps3, but if its sold out already ii’m not going for 6months without my video games
The wii looks soooo cute
You both lost it. Have you even played the system???????? I saw it at digilife expo at the javitz. Playstation 3 easily trumps the wii or the 360. I got two preorders in just in case I get screwed like with the psp
I’ll wait. They’re bound to have quality issues.
I’m not going to miss out like the 360. This old lady was in line at best Buy and bumped me out of the way. I had to wait 4 months to get goin
