David Hasslehoff makes his way back on stage in the Las Vegas production of Mel Brooks’ “The Producers.” The former star of “Knight Rider” and “Baywatch” won’t be playing a casanova hunk this time. Instead, Hasslehoff will be dressing in drag as the flamboyant musical comedy director, Roger DeBris.
The TV actor is no stranger to the theater having also appeared on Broadway in “Jekyll & Hyde.”
Mel Brooks, shared the following about his choice for Hasslehoff, “He has an incredible comedic timing, terrific musical theatre experience and a stage presence that I think will be a perfect marriage with the role. And by the way, he has great legs for that dress.”
The Las Vegas premier of Mel Brooks’ “The Producers” is scheduled for January 31, 2007.
