According to Variety, Bryan Singer has signed a deal with warner Brothers Pictures to direct a sequel to this summer’s blockbuster hit, “Superman Returns“. Word on the street is that the movie is slated to be release in the summer of 2009, however that is very preliminary given that there isn’t a script of a budget next. Singer is the first person to jump on board the project - Actor Brandon Routh has not signed on yet.
While I definitely enjoyed Superman Returns, I’m hoping that they step it up in terms of storyline and action. The 70s and 80s Superman franchise is currently beating this one in terms of heart.
Routh was too skinny to play Superman.. maybe since this movie isn’t until 2009, they’ll throw some extra hamburgers his way LOL
