“Saw III“, the gory horror thriller, dominated the box office this weekend with $34.3 million in sales, according to studio estimates this Sunday. That impressive opening is the highest ever for the Saw trilogy.
Martin Scorsese’s cops and robbers story “The Departed” marked a very strong third weekend by taking in $9.8 million to come in second.
Coming in third was “The Prestige“, Disney’s mysterious tale of obsession, with $9.6 million. The movie raised its 10-day take to $28.8 million.
Clint Eastwood’s World War II epic “Flags of Our Fathers” was No. 4 with $6.35 million.
“Catch a Fire“, a story of apartheid in South Africa, premiered with only $2 million in ticket sales.










I’ve just recently watched the first two Saw films in the highly rated trilogy over the past few days, and I’ve got to say they’re both fantastic. Can’t wait to see this
